Michael Edwards: Deep color, almost bronze. An oxidative style, with hints of vanilla from wood barrels, I suspect, but a fresh mid-palate. A wine you will either like or hate. I like it. | 89
Simon Field: Spanish gold, a pirouetting mousse and a nose of autumnal orchards at the break of day. Bruised apple and hints of fig, oxidative for sure, far from blameless, but certainly not without interest. The palate boasts dried fruit, truffle, and a dollop of manuka honey, its dosage integrated, the acidity linear, the age of its components falling on a slightly vegetal finish. Highly individualistic, enjoyable, and gastronomically versatile. | 94
Anne Krebiechl: Deeply golden, verging into light amber. A rich nose holds hints of malted grain and dark fir honey. On the palate, the honeyed notes become stronger and more effusive. They are pervaded by lemon-oil freshness and fruit. This is rich, almost baroque in its bearing, withatextured mid-palate, always recalling that honeyed richness with its subtle edge of bitterness. The feel is creamy, mealy, and rich on the finish. | 93
