Michael Edwards: Straw, gold lights; bubbles a little diffuse; ripe, seemingly orchard, fruits, almost confit. The mousse is sustaining on the tongue, quite complex, a mature mouthfeel with good acidity. | 88
Simon Field: Straw color, delicate bead, orchard-fruit aromas, with hints of peach stone and yeast. Palate is soft, dry, sourdough and agrume at the forefront of the palate, then an understated elegance, near bone-dry, almond and white peach at the back. Just a little short of energy. | 87
Anne Krebiechl: Lovely golden color. A subtle nose of crushed, salty crumbs. On the palate, this rich aroma unfolds and reveals depth, richness, and vinous generosity. On the surface, the style comes across as almost austere, straightlaced, but it is also a wonderful concentration of intense, almost buffered, saltiness. Hints of Golden Delicious gradually emerge. Finest mousse, and inherent, appealing freshness. Softer aromatics, reminiscent of honey, wet chalk, seaweed cracker, appear with air and the brisk finish lingers. | 96
