BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Saturated deep black-red in color. Bottle 1: Slightly corked. Bottle 2: Creamy, savory, appetizing scents whose fruits have a knife-and- fork richness. What it lacks in aromatic precision, it makes up for in sheer visceral appeal. On the palate, the wine is frank and straightforward, delivering full ripeness for its blackcurrant fruits in four-square style. It will last well for the vintage, and should acquire more aromatic complexity on the palate with a little bottle age. 2018–23. | 88

Michael Schuster | Closed and tight to smell—crisp blackcurrant; elegantly balanced, medium-full, fresh, firm but fine in tannin; ripe-fruited, tasty, subtly spicy, with nice length of flavor and excellent length of fruit-cored aftertaste; gently muscular, but very attractive. 2024–36+. | 90
