BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red in color. The aromas are curranty fresh, with a savory bacon note, and a hint of cool copse, too. On the palate, its blackcurrant fruits seem to me to be barely ripe and rather grassy, though it has some depth and wealth of flavor and would be drinkable and enjoyable if taken young. There’s a little licorice spice at the end. 2018–21. | 87

Michael Schuster | Youthful blackcurrant cassis and mineral on the nose; firmly tannic, medium-full wine, ripe in flavor, muscular in texture, chewily tannic Pauillac, but still with a good fruit length on the finish. I suspect that, for quite a while, rich and tasty food would be required to make the most of this. 2023–30+. | 88
