Andrew Jefford | Dense, dark black-red in color. High-toned, lifted, and intensely fragrant, this is the vintage at its most floral: a nosegay or a flower posy of a wine. Refined and enticing, though a little less classic than some. On the palate, it is deep and softly fruity, again with all of the floral allure that was so prominent on the nose. One of the Left Bank’s prettiest wines. It has intensity and concentration, though, and some firm tannins, so it will age well. I wonder what all those fresh flowers will do with time? 2018–25. | 92
Michael Schuster | fine, discreet, fragrant blackcurrant nose; full, gently fleshy, fresh and finely tannic constitution, a very nice balance indeed; deep, rich, and savory wine, blackcurrant ripe, gently spicy, long across the palate, long to finish. A seductively complete, lovely long-term Pauillac. 2030–40+. | 93
