Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Earthy, warm, softly curranty scents, with some vanilla and white-pepper complexities. It has a fresh, sweet leafiness and violet perfume without greenness. Discreet, fully ripe, and attractive. On the palate, this is deep but soft-textured and soft-contoured, fine and flavory, with perfectly ripened blackcurrant fruits. The style is so stealthy that it is easy to underrate, but this deft, dark, classy second wine is both tenacious and subtle. 2018–25. | 90
Michael Schuster | Ripe blackberry fruit to smell; rich, fleshy, and with a very fine tannin; ripe, long, graceful Pauillac, stylish, subtle, complete, and persistent; lovely, easy, graceful, and harmonious wine, a beautiful balance, long in flavor and aftertaste. So fine- textured, this will be accessible relatively early, but have decades in hand, too. 2020–35+. | 92
