Andrew Jefford | Dark and densely colored. Sweeter, better composed scents than for many of its peers: plum as well as currant, milled grains, and a little incense spice. Intense, fresh, and lively, with bright acidity though in this case balanced by a wealth of blackcurranty fruit. Some fine-grained tannins though it is not a notably structured wine; licorice to finish. 2018–23. | 88
Michael Schuster | A promising, fragrant nose of gently ripe fruit and gravel aromas; elegant mid-weight, fresh to lively in acidity, lightly dry in new-oak tannin, which will need a few years to mellow; nice without being special, on the leaner side, classically dry in flavor, just a touch austere. Will be attractive enough with food. 2022–30+. | 87
