BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red. Fresh fruits with a hedgy, leafy edge, but classical for the year, and pure. Moderate concentration and wealth of flavor, with a fresh and leafy style. Very true to the vintage profile, and for short to mid-term drinking. 2018–22. | 85

Michael Schuster | Plummy nose; fullish, fresh, quite firm in tannin for the fruit; a muscular expression of the origin, crisply ripe to taste, limited in complexity and length. A rather tough prospect that will need food to mellow its edges. Better certainly with a few years more, 2022–30. | 85
