Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, with the emphasis on black. An aromatic “Gravesy” earthiness: Kick those gravels. Sweet, too, with a vegetal note like nut husks. Deep, earthy, vivid, moderately concentrated, with a little discreet tannin, but has palate width: a satisfying mouthful of classic Pessac-Léognan. Tuck in with confidence in the medium term. 2018–23. | 88
Michael Schuster | Slightly “funky” to smell, lacking definition, with a hint of farmyard; medium-full, supple-to- fresh, a slightly dry (wood) tannin texture for the fruit; a black fruit ripe flavor, but of modest scope, and fairly brief to finish. The texture needs food, and this will be best drunk young with its ripe fruit to the fore. Now to 2026+. | 86
