Andrew Jefford | Deep, dark black-red. Some kerosene notes spoil the aromatic profile, and lead you to suspect less successful ripeness than for many of its peers. This is true of the palate, too. It’s perfectly drinkable and has energy, freshness, and the inherent class that comes from these varieties in this place, but the moderate concentration and green tones hold it back a little. 2018–22. | 85

Michael Schuster | Ripely fruited nose; rich mid-weight, fine in tannin, fresh in acidity; a satisfying ripe fruit, gently fleshy, of limited scope, but with a nice length of flavor and finish; satisfying mid-rank claret. Now to 2028. | 88
