Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Earthy, sweet-edged, slightly vegetal aromas. There’s also a sweetness of hay and wild flower meadows here, too. On the palate, this is a wine with ample and assertive acidity balanced by sweet fruits and dry, brisk tannins, a typical combination for St-Emilion in 2014. An invigorating food wine. 2018–25. | 88
Michael Schuster | Plummy ripe and mineral on the nose; rich, full-bodied wine, vital in acidity, firm in tannin; a juicy core of fruit to this, behind its firm tannin texture; tasty and vivid, but a firmly structured presence nonetheless, a nice length of flavor, if with an acidity that many would find rather assertive. Good wine in its very individual 2014 style, but clearly needing plenty of time. 2026–36+. | 90
