Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red in color. On the nose, haunting sweet plums, black cherries and crushed kernels: truly beguiling fruits. Ample scented ripeness, but nothing raisiny at all. Rich, vivid, and fresh on the palate, without the almost painful acid-tannin balance that is apparent in so many St-Emilions. Very pure, long, and dark: sun-burnished plums and autumn blackberries. Grace and charm. 2018–25. | 91

Michael Schuster | Intense, closed, youthful to smell; rich, vital, powerful, finely tannic; a long-term, muscular St-Emilion; at the moment a pretty firm prospect, an abundance of both fruit and tannin, and certainly long-term, but the fruit is juicy and glowing, and the wine is long and complex across the palate, so the prospects are promising. Just a question of how long until it is really rewarding. 2030–45+. | 93
