Michael Schuster | Still quite closed to smell, but markedly mineral; medium-full, fresh, finely tannic, a typically refined balance, sweetly ripe, moderately concentrated, very fine in tannin texture, not the fat or flesh that is often part of Cheval’s style, but graceful, harmonious, and with lovely, sweetly fruited gentle persistence on the finish.
