Andrew Jefford | Dark, saturated black-red. Sweet, warm, resinous, lifted, and graceful aromas, with a winning and insinuating charm to them. It’s less aggressive and elemental in aroma than many of its St-Emilion peers. The palate is very acidic, fresh and lively with ample tannins and a slender mid-palate. Pristine quality fruits, but the challenge is coming to terms with that very stark, austere and challenging profile. The intrinsic fruit qualities of this wine should stand it in good stead, though, and a year or two will see the balance eased a little. 2018–26. | 89
Michael Schuster | Dense nose of ripe, mineral-backed fruit; full, brisk in acidity, firmly tannic; strong and savory St-Emilion, plenty of flavor within a firmly tannic frame, but a nice length to taste, and a good length of aftertaste, too. Good wine, though quite when to drink not easy to say. 2025–35+. | 90
