Andrew Jefford | Saturated deep black-red. Pruney, slightly mentholated aromas, suggesting very ripe fruit. This is super-ripe and raisiny on the palate, which, combined with the sweet wood and the high levels of acidity, contrives to suggest a New World-like palate. Impressive for lovers of showy, characterful wines. 2018–23. | 84

Michael Schuster | A seductive ripe blackcurrant fruit and oak- vanilla nose; rich and fresh and firm—a muscular constitution; plenty of fruit savor here, a big, tasty, juicy wine with a firm acid and tannin frame, a long-term prospect. Ample, powerful, and savory, with an almost raisiny ripe fruit, long to taste and long to finish. Good quality in its individually powerful style. 2026–40+. | 91
