Andrew Jefford | Very dark black-red. A much more interesting scent than the Fontenil, in truth, with blacker, more intense fruit perfumes (blackcurrant and black cherry) given a haunting citrus and petit-grain edge. Classy and appealing. On the palate, too, the fruit is much deeper, equally ripe, and a little less soft and a little more grippy, with fine aromatic complexity. I still wouldn’t submit it to long-term storage but would enjoy while the fruit has all its youthful charm. 2018–22. | 89
Michael Schuster | Dense and ripe to smell; rich, full, finely but firmly tannic juicy wine, with plenty of ripe fruit flavor within the firm texture; warm, moderately complex, and with a good sweet fruit core persistence. Quite powerful, and a very individual, super-ripe expression of St-Emilion. Delicious already in its particular style, especially with food —but clearly no hurry either. Now to 2035+ | 90
