Alison Buchanan: Garnet tawny with an amber rim, this offers an intriguing nose, floral and herbal with hints of rosewater. The rose character comes through on the palate allied to an unanticipated earthy character. Extraordinarily perfumed and ripe, the juxtaposition of sweet and herbaceous is challenging—grassy Turkish delight. Unusual and unknown to me stylistically—sweet on finish. | 80

Andrew Jefford: Clear, deep red-orange in color, with fresh floral-gingery aromas, plus an iced-gem biscuit aromatic sweetness: enticing. Tangy, with the same aromatic spectrum as the aromas suggested, but delivered with only moderate complexity and refinement. | 82

Margaret Rand: Savory, deep, rich. Lots of savory spice, good acidity, not all that sweet, and linear. An unusual, pungent, characterful wine of individuality and great moreishness. Elegant, tight, long, complex. Would be very good with good cheese. The more I taste this, the more I like it. | 94
