BUY THE WINE

Simon Field | A powerful, somewhat uncompromising example, dense and saturated, nuance avoided in the name of a rigorous and definitive statement. Not overextracted, merely overconfident; the assertion dulls the potential for interpretation. | 86

Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. This is a wine that seems a little older than 2014, but it has some mature harmony to the scent and plenty of grown-up Cabernet character. Some oak, too. Touch of wet hay here, which is not unattractive. Vivid, lively, softly grassy palate; limpid and pure, though not notably ripe, dense, textured, or deep. | 85

Charles Metcalfe | Dense, rich, earthy aromas, with raspberry fruit. Young, vigorous, and full of dark raspberry fruit flavors. This is in its infancy and could develop for several years, with a well-structured palate, intense, earthy fruit, and excellent intensity. Tannins are dense but ripe, and the finish long and satisfying. | 93
