BUY THE WINE

Simon Field | Regal red; poised and attractive on the nose, spice and hints of sous-bois and crushed raspberry. The palate descants summer fruit and finishes with finely etched acidity, which is not overplayed. | 88

Andrew Jefford | Saturated deep black-red. Black-cherry and white-pepper scents in gruff and relatively inarticulate style. Still almost yeasty; very primary. On the palate, this is a fresh and vivid wine with some grippy tannins, soft but prominent acidity, and cherry-bramble fruit. It’s moderately concentrated and has some simple youthful charm. | 85

Charles Metcalfe | Fresh, ripe, vigorous aromas, with damson and meaty notes. Acidity is high, but the fruit is properly ripe, with firm tannins and juicy damson fruit. No great length, but a pleasant sensation of ripeness and poise. | 88
