BUY THE WINE

Simon Field | A little older, more delicate of color and aroma; very fine and precise, almost ethereal, forest whispers, Proustian recollections... Soft spice, hints of balsam, Braeburn apple, yeast and hawthorn... Very complete, albeit quite modest in its pretention. Charm itself! | 91

Andrew Jefford | Much clearer than its peers, with mature fruit scents of ripe spiced plums; attractive in a soft and rough-and-ready kind of way. Juicy but relatively dilute, easygoing wine; a good quaff but not more. | 81

Charles Metcalfe | This has a really smooth, caramelly nose, soft and quite alluring. It lacks some of the punch and structure expected from an Anjou red, however. Flavors are gentle and smooth, with slightly jammy fruit and hints of toffee. Pleasant, but rather lightweight. Certainly not a wine to keep long. | 81
