BUY THE WINE

Simon Field | Ripe red apples, a Vermeer fruit bowl. Hints of compote and modernity lurk, magnifi ed to caricature on the palate, which is a little volatile and somewhat jejune. | 84

Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red. Sweet spice from oak and sweet raspberry fruit, too. A positive if not subtle scent. Juicy and fresh, full of simple raspberry, teased to full ripeness, though still with a little drop or two of raspberry-vinegar asperity to mix it all up. Attractive light drinking. | 84

Charles Metcalfe | Volatile, overevolved, and no fun! The nose and palate are dominated by volatility. Past its best, if it ever had one. | 72
