BUY THE WINE

Simon Field | Pungent, slightly mossy nose, dense saturation overwhelming the ensemble, which has been overworked and is therefore already drying and rather too austere. | 83

Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Herbaceous holly-leaf scents, but a little pungent-peppery holly-berry richness, too. The sort of herbaceousness one might like if one was a fan of that kind of profile. I find it rather thin and charmless on the palate, however, despite the textural wealth, and I don’t really relish the green notes. | 80

Charles Metcalfe | Sadly, this has a note of rot on the nose. The palate is firm, with high acidity, but the dominating flavor is of fruit touched by rot. | 74
