BUY THE WINE

Jamie Goode | This is all about seamless ripe black fruits, with a sense of harmony and generosity. Lush blackcurrant fruit, with some smoothness. Broad and concentrated, and quite luxurious. It’s an extremely ripe and rich wine, but there’s clearly real appeal in this style. | 92

Peter Richards | Engaging aromas of ripe dark fruit with earthy, stemmy notes. The palate is generous and succulent, with a warming alcohol on the finish. Heart-warming and rich, hard not to admire in this style but it becomes wearing after a while. A crowd-pleasing style that will have its fans but needs to focus more on refreshment value to improve and deliver more. | 90

David Williams | Big and butch: a lot of sweetness, weight, and density, and the alcohol is very apparent. It’s a one-glass wine for the moment, and I’m not convinced it has the structure or complexity to come good in the long haul. | 85
