Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | A great success, fine and delicate, with no greenness. The long finish places it at the same level as the second and first growths of the appellation. A personal favorite. Tasted at the château in perfect serving conditions. | 95
Michael Schuster | Dense to smell; fresh, lightly blackcurranty and mineral, too; rich, juicy, vital, and finely tannic, a gently muscular Pauillac—exactly as it should be—long, freshly sweet, gently aromatic, a clear complexity and fine ripe red fruit and gravelly aromatic length. A fine, sweetly dry, aromatic Pauillac—not big but complete. As always, understated, elegant, impressing by its tenacity and gravelly subtlety rather than its fruit concentration. Lovely! 2026–40+. | 92–93+
