BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Great color. Full-bodied for the year, taut wine, a little reserved, but no hard tannins on the finish. Quite marked, unintegrated oak. Tasted twice. | 92

Michael Schuster | Dense, ripe red-fruit and mineral nose; medium-full, crisp in acidity, fine if firm in tannin; deep and crisp and even! Tasty, concentrated wine, but without excess at all, a lovely depth of fruit within the defining acidity, long to taste, long to finish; flavor-dense and minerally in aromas, an exceptionally complete Langoa that will be very fine given time. 2027–40+. | 90–92
