Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | A little more powerful than Alter Ego, as one would expect of the grand vin, but not necessarily more harmonious. Remarkable mid-palate weight, but there is still a little reduction on the fruit. Very fine wine, albeit not currently showing as well as the two preceding vintages. Tasted at the château. | 94
Michael Schuster | Restrained, shy, ripe black-cherry and mineral nose; on the palate, this is a beautifully balanced, rich middleweight, particularly fine in tannin and with an unobtrusive, fresh acidity; sweet-fruited, subtly minerally, and fragrant wine, which is elegant, poised, graceful, polished, and very prolonged in terms of its aftertaste. This is classy, beautiful, and very Margaux. 2028–44+. | 93–94+
