Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Our best blind tasting this year in this appellation, confirmed on a second occasion at the château. Outstanding finesse, superlatively elegant texture. Retronasal olfaction reveals fresh premier grand cru menthol. Hats off to this wine. | 95

Michael Schuster | Rich, ripe nose, but “cool” ripe rather than sweet ripe; moderately rich, elegant mid-weight with a fresh acidity and a fine, slightly wood-dry tannin; gently fleshy wine, elegant, subtly ripe blackcurrant and gravel scented in character, moderately complex, yet nicely sustained, and with fine fruit and aroma length. Very Pessac-Léognan: reserved, elegant, gravelly, complete. Restrained, and stylish for Malartic. 2023–35+. | 89–91
