Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Big on the nose, with botrytized aromas; initially the wood masks the aromatic complexity of the grapes a little. But this is still a great botrytis wine. It should merit an even higher score with more maturity and after bottling, with a more precise evaluation of the wood integration. Tasted twice. | 94
Michael Schuster | Dense, but floral and refined to smell; concentrated medium-weight with a fresh to lively acidity; intensely sweet, lightly lemony, long and racy and very nicely defined to taste; vivid, linear, subtle, and tenacious; not big, but long and complex with a marked botrytis spice on the palate and on a very persistent finish. A fine rather than grand de Fargues: taut, contained, restrained, complete. | 92–94
