BUY THE WINE

Victoria Daskal | Creamy, oaky, and ripe. Distinct vanilla custard and tropical fruit tart. Dry palate but very sweet pineapple and mango flavors. Rich, bold, and intense wine that is very well structured. The opposite of Loire, yet magnificent in every way. | 94

Jamie Goode | Pretty, lemony, and spicy, with lovely concentration and balance. Very expressive and quite mineral, with some grip. There’s fabulous balance here, with bold spice, pear, and apple characters meshing beautifully. | 96

Andrew Jefford | Pale bright gold. Fresh, sappy, lively, though not a very complex aroma. Nonetheless, it has a kind of vanilla and white-pepper charm that recalls both Silvaner and GV. Totally satisfying on the palate and very much in the same style that the aromas sketched out: plump, full, broad, with lots of vanilla and white pepper, and with a broad-berthed marrowy acidity, too. Lovely straightforward drinking white, and very nearly more than that, too, so sound is its pitch. | 90
