Victoria Daskal | Smoky, campfire, dried pineapple and lemon on the nose. Very intense, ripe fruit concentration and complex layers of toast with a saline finish. A laser beam of acidity and rich texture provide perfect foundation to the dancing flavors. | 97
Jamie Goode | Generously fruited but fresh, with attractive pear and spice fruit. There are some cedary, spicy hints on the palate that stick out a little. Good acidity, but a tiny bit clunky. | 89
Andrew Jefford | Pale, mid-gold. Soft, quiet, and understated, but stylistically spot-on: that haunting half- honeyed floral warmth and that sense of a still-life fruit bowl sitting in the sunlight just out of the field of vision. Some oaking is, I think, evident on the palate, but that has not done the wine a disservice, and the floral and rich fruit notes come through well behind. Very complete and ambitious: a fine effort, though I’d prefer to see it in a year or two when the oak has settled down. Nonetheless, it merits a high score now. | 91
