BUY THE WINE

Victoria Daskal | Slightly dusty and closed on the nose, with shy citrus and floral notes. Very tightly wound, with a razor-sharp, mouthwatering acidity. Pure, concentrated lemon and quince builds up to a crescendo on the palate. Long and lingering, with a crisp finish. | 93

Jamie Goode | Citrusy and bright, with some pithy grapefruit notes sitting under the lemon and herb characters on the palate. It’s very fresh, with good acidity, but it’s a little chunky and firm on the finish. | 89

Andrew Jefford | Bright pale gold. Soft spiced lime scents; quietly attractive. Some oak? That lime-citrus note carries clearly into the palate, and relatively prominent acidity lends it energy and drive. Vividly dry, fresh, citrus-green Chenin, with a fish or even seafood vocation. There is wealth behind, too, though not much beyond lime in terms of allusion. Splendid purity nonetheless, and delicious with it. | 92
