BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Pale straw gold. Very complex and attractive aromas of meadow flowers, straw, and white spring blossoms. No primary fruit presence to the aromas, by contrast, but there is a quiet peachy warmth behind. Classy. On the palate, this is an absolutely dry wine with searching though ripe acidity and great intensity and concentration. The characters reflect the aromatic profile: meadow flowers and wild flowers, spring hedgerows. Some nuts, too—the hazels entombed in nougat. Lots of ripely acidic and aromatic persistence in the aftertaste. Very impressive: fine wine, though very different in character from the other top wines of the tasting. | 94
