BUY THE WINE

Neil Beckett | Sylvain knew that with natural concentration from old vines and the vintage he could be gentle with the extraction, and he got it exactly right. Medium-deep ruby. Darkly fruited, a little leather, licorice, less expressive than the Fixin but even greater depth as it opens, and still more in reserve. Dense but fine-grain, almost powdery, tannins, animating acidity, intensity, purity, and race, and a long, flourishing finish. Composure and drive. | 92
