Jesús Barquín | Deep, almost opaque cherry. Vegetal nose with notes of paprika and lightly roasted coffee beans. One of those Bierzos that resemble Loire reds. Fresh and balanced palate, but the ripe bell- pepper notes are annoying. | 87
Andrew Jefford | Saturated midnight-black. Very sweet fruits here: confit black cherry. Attractive if a little unsubtle. Some floral freshness. The palate delivers what the aromas suggested: a deep wine with good-quality fruit, but spoiled a little by an aromatic superficiality that may be handling- related in some way. Still cherry, but almost tinned cherry. A shame, because the tannins are more than respectable. | 86
Richard Mayson | Deep and youthful in appearance; nose resembles good Chinon, with a fresh, up front, floral, bell-pepper, berry-fruit character; firm but similarly up front on the palate, with lovely unadulterated spicy-leafy fruit and fresh, sappy length of flavor. Great integrity. | 89
