Jesús Barquín | Deep, almost opaque cherry. Interesting aromas are blurred by reductive notes, the palate is cleaner. | 89

Andrew Jefford | Saturated deep black-red. Mixed ripeness here: the sweet cherry force of some very ripe fruit, combined with some grassy, herbaceous notes (though these are also sweet). Bit of a compost in aromatic terms. It’s very deep and intense on the palate, so we must assume made with the highest ambitions: still youthful, concentrated, thrusting, dramatic. But for me there isn’t quite the harmony and disposition of the very best wines, and I find that sweet grassiness a little disconcerting. Perhaps my score is an unfair one, and my fellow tasters may like this wine more. | 88

Richard Mayson | Deep and youthful color, kirsch on the nose, ripe and verging on jammy in character; bold, ripe, but somehow rather hollow on the mid-palate, with blackberry-jam flavors leading to a long, firm finish. | 85
