BUY THE WINE

Neil Beckett | A great privilege to taste this exceptionally rare wine, for which a small feuillette is made specially each year by François Frères once the required volume is known, but normally there are only 180 bottles of wine. Jérôme says that this is the one wine in the range for which the vinification has barely changed in 50 years: 100% whole-bunch, 100% new oak, no filtration. Medium-deep ruby. Exquisite freshness on the nose, which seems almost mentholé. Aérien, a real mille-feuille of whatever comes after silk in terms of textural refinement. Not the greatest persistence, but the greatest finesse and poise, exceptional even by the sublime standards of this magical site. | 98+
