Michael Schuster | Deep purple, the darkest wine so far by some way; dense to smell, a slightly extracty impression on the nose; rich, generous, fleshy, firmly but very finely tannic, still a touch of oak dryness, and with the year’s vital, defining acidity; sweet, ample, gently chunky Nuits-St-Georges, with plenty of matter alongside a subtle premier cru complexity and tenacity of flavor; clearly a more solid wine, in keeping with both the commune and the vintage; a particularly satisfying mouthful, with good, fruit-fragrant length. 2023–37+. | 92–93
