Michael Schuster | Deep purple; dense, spicy, complex nose; still a touch of residual CO2, rich, generous, fresh, elegant, poised, and very finely tannic, a most beautiful and harmonious balance; deep and sweet, yet so freshly defined, particularly fine-textured, with the promise of silky perfection. Pure, subtle, transparent, racy, a most beguiling, all-enveloping presence; less impression of matter than the Echézeaux, but an even longer flavor, an immense, perfumed presence, of great purity, and with a wonderfully persistent, fragrant aftertaste. Lingering, seductive, beautiful. A wine that stirs the emotions, a wine to wonder at. Magnificent Burgundy. 2035–55+. | 98–100
