BUY THE WINE

Joanna Simon | Another powerhouse of structure, ripeness, and brooding, dark fruit. Quite closed on the nose, but not to the exclusion of exotic black cherry and rose petal. The densely textured palate is rich in bitter chocolate and ripe tannins, but lifted by a freshness that gives delicacy to the finish. From Echézeaux du Dessus and Quartier de Nuits, whole-bunch fermented and aged in 90% new barrels. | 93
