Neil Beckett | Managing director Stéphane Follin-Arbelet has hoped to make this special cuvée, from a small 1ha parcel in the top right corner near the border with Les Toussaints, for several years, but the hail in 2012, 2013, and 2014, and frost in 2016, mean that this is the only release so far. On the basis of this brilliant debut, it clearly merits the separate treatment. Intense mid-ruby, a natural luster. Clean earth, black raspberry, plum, fragrant rose. Densely silky, a fine seam of acidity to balance the richness, a glorious mouthful of opulent fruit, but fresh, flowing, multifaceted and multilayered, with a beautifully controlled finish. | 93
