Michael Edwards | Of all the ten crus of Beaujolais, Brouilly is rightly known for its joyful expression of fruit grown over granite. In 2015 it has an extra dimension of succulence as the sun shone on this bucolic Rabelaisian vineyard beside the Ardière River. The magic is that the granite lifts the aromas of violets and the wine does not taste too alcoholic, thanks to patient winemaking of flair and sensitivity. | 90
