BUY THE WINE

Alex Hunt | Some simple juicy redcurrant-jelly character, slightly coarse tannin; simple, short, okay wine. | 84

Andrew Jefford | Quite deep in hue, though showing some trace of age now. Inky, earthy Pinot scents, with lots of oak shaping (incense notes). Deep, firm, long, relatively gutsy Pinot with plenty of oak and some age, but it delivers lots of pleasure. The fastidious would perhaps object to its overall bulk but for me it is a different, low-latitude incarnation that still merits its place in the wine world, though I cannot in any way claim it is a fine wine. | 89

Anthony Rose | Good youthful color, intriguing nose, good depth, complex blend of red fruits and root vegetable, dark berry fruit concentration, savory and rich at the same time, with an attractive veneer of vanilla-oak spice; fine mulberry fruit quality, lively, bright fresh acidity and finesse; powerfully youthful, serious Pinot. | 91
