BUY THE WINE

Alex Hunt | Fudgy, indistinct and slightly antiseptic aroma. Some power on the palate but feels very mature—ten years old rather than three. No varietal character, so overall pretty pointless. | 79

Andrew Jefford | Deep, clear black-red. Gutsy, earthy scents: more force than finesse, and nothing clearly Pinot-like here. A big, bustling, broad-shouldered dry red which happened to start with Pinot grapes, but not at all within the style parameters for the “Pinot ideal.” Perfectly drinkable red wine nonetheless. Good tannins—yum. | 86

Anthony Rose | This is pleasantly fresh and fragrant, but the level of extraction, especially considering it’s Pinot Noir, is just too hefty and chunky. | 83
