BUY THE WINE

Alex Hunt | A bit edgy and volatile, but some attractive strawberry aromas here. The palate, though, shows far too much whole-bunch character. It’s clumsily green and vegetal, without nearly enough fruit weight or structure to support. | 79

Andrew Jefford | Clear and limpid deep red. Rather unattractive on the nose: simple fruit, with a feral note and a dark leanness of fruit. True to the variety on the palate, with some bitter- cherry fruit, but a lack of ease of articulation and natural fresh ripeness. | 81

Anthony Rose | Pale in color, cinnamon spicy in aroma, with underlying coolish climate root-vegetable notes; nicely supple-textured bright cherry and beetrooty fruit tinged with cinnamon spice in an elegantly styled framework of juicy-textured tannin and bright, fresh acidity. | 89
