Stephen Brook: Aromatically, this is a finely sculpted wine - a mingling of limes and minerals. Rich and weighty, even powerful, with a creamy texture. Just a hint of sweetness, but it's not obtrusive because of the grapefruity acidity. Impressive length and grandeur. 18

Jancis Robinson: Broad, slightly unfocused aromas. Acidity a bit low, and the overall impression is of a rather slack wine. 13

Alexander Scott: Perfect ripeness here, and not too much. Creamy palate, much softer than the Graf Von Kanitz Lorcher Pfaffenwies Spatlese Trocken and Kapel lenberg Spatlese Trocken, without the rapier-like acidity. But not lacking energy. Reasonably distinctive. Good. 15.5
