Simon Field: Youthful purple colouring, grapey nose, slightly gummy Palate quite hot, peppery on the back, with a solid mid-palate, but a little short on structure, and a leanness of texture that is quite a feat in this vintage. 13.5

Richard Mayson: Good, deep, opaque colour. Musty overtones; feral; wet wood over some fragrant, floral fruit. Soft and fleshy initially, with pronounced and rather hard, lean tannins rising in the mouth. Somewhat unbalanced. Clumsy. 10

Jancis Robinson: Slightly weak rim. Agreeable, ripe, round fruit but notoutstandingly intense. Marked acidity and lacks real fruit weight on the mid-palate. 10
