BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Great colour, classically cedar nose, outstanding vinosity and powerful, complex tannins. A rigorously classical wine, very much in the tradition of this growth. 17.5

Michael Schuster: Inky colour. Dense, oaky nose. Well-balanced, rich, medium-full wine, fresh acidity, finely tannic; fresh and vibrant ripe fruit to taste; elegant, fine, mineral infused flavour, slightly dry from the wood on the finish (but it usually absorbs this) and with excellent aromatic length. Very good, but will need at least 10 years. 15.5+
