Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Another huge success, confirmed in every sample tasted. Unique in body, freshness and aromatic class (an unrestrained Cabernet personality), matched by exquisitely integrated, majestically extracted tannins. It should be said that this estate is a master in precocious wine production. 18

Margaret Rand: Chewiness in excelsis. Plenty of fruit, but a slightly dry edge to the tannins. 17

Michael Schuster: Inky; intense, ripe, roasted-fruit nose. Rich, vigorous, fleshy, concentrated wine, abundant matter within a firmly tannic frame; long-term balance. Strong, concentrated flavour, close-grained and dense with abundant oak-saturated ripe fruit; long across the palate and long to finish. Impressive in its style, but I’m not sure when this will be ready to drink. A very good Angélus for its fans. 16+
