BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Two samples tasted two days apart led us to exactly the same conclusion: a wine that is rather too linear for the time being, with not enough complexity due to the obstructive presence of the oak and a shortage of vinosity compared with some of its neighbours. 13

Margaret Rand: Good notes of spice and tobacco, fresh and quite powerful. Tight at the moment. 16

Michael Schuster: Dense, ripe, blackberry-pastille nose. Fresh, sweet, flowing fruit flavour of moderate complexity and good length. Fairly tannic frame, so will need time. 15
