Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Seductive and complex, with those mushroom and forest-floor-violet notes so typical of Pomerol! Very fragrant but with a firm mid-palate and good persistence. 15
Margaret Rand: Chewy tannins, very dry. There’s fruit there, but the tannins dominate. It’s certainly structured. 15.5
Michael Schuster: Black purple. Ripe blackberry nose. Rich, middleweight wine with a fresh acidity and firm tannin. Initially ripe and flowing, with a gently fleshy fruit of moderate complexity, but finishes with a rather too tough tannin for the available fruit… at least for the moment. 14+?
